Welcome to the 1st annual Love Books Festival, a celebration of the written word and the pioneering spirit of local authors. We invite all local authors to participate in this event which is free to authors and free to participants.

We are excited to offer a variety of interesting activities that appeal to attendees of all ages. Parking is plentiful and free. Overflow parking can be found across the street at the Town Park, see map below.

This year’s event aligns with World Literacy Day, celebrated each year on 8 September. It was declared by UNESCO on 26 October 1966 at the 14th session of UNESCO's General Conference. It was celebrated for the first time in 1967. Its aim is to highlight the importance of literacy to individuals, communities and societies.
