Choosing your Path to Publication: Exploring the pros and cons of traditional, small press, and ​independent publishing - By Taryn Noelle Kloeden


Taryn Noelle Kloeden is an award-winning author of multiple novels, short stories, and essays. ​She holds a doctorate as an environmental anthropologist, and has been teaching young scholars ​and emerging writers for nearly a decade. She has previously taught workshops for a variety of ​audiences at libraries and writing retreats. Taryn lives on a micro-farm in Virginia's beautiful ​Shenandoah Valley and is full-time faculty in at Purdue University Global.


You Can Write, Too! Tips and advice on the writing craft: Discover practical and inspiring ​advice on how to develop your writing craft. - By Adeena Mignogna


Adeena Mignogna finds herself at a distinctive junction between a career in aerospace engineering ​and her love for science fiction writing. With a solid foundation of over 25 years in the aerospace ​industry, she has worked on a variety of satellite and space station projects, that includes work on ​satellite command-and-control systems, software design, and systems engineering. Adeena's work ​also includes championing the use of VR in engineering, all while remaining committed to ​mentoring up-and-coming engineers, underscoring her belief in the value of knowledge sharing ​and continuous learning. In parallel, Adeena nurtures a deep-rooted passion for science fiction, ​drawing from her extensive background in physics, astronomy, and computer science to create ​captivating stories. As the author of the 4-book Robot Galaxy Series, recently released novel Lunar ​Logic, and a voice on The BIG Sci-Fi Podcast, she endeavors to blend her scientific understanding ​with the boundless possibilities of fiction. Adeena's journey through both the analytical world of ​aerospace and the imaginative realm of writing showcases her dedication to inspiring others, ​whether it's through pioneering engineering solutions or the art of storytelling.


Poetry for the Soul: An introduction to how to write formal and free verse - By Carla Galdo


Carla Galdo is a writer and editor for the women’s book group Well-Read Mom. She has written ​for a variety of publications including Humanum: Issues in Family, Culture, and Science, ​Columbia Magazine, and Front Porch Republic. Her poetry has appeared in Dappled Things, ​Modern Age, Solum Literary Journal, The Windhover, and on Irish Southeast Radio, and she was a ​finalist in the Catholic Literary Arts 2022 Advent Poetry Contest and 2024 Sacred Poetry ​Contest. Carla has been featured as a conference speaker and podcast host for Well-Read Mom, ​and as a guest on the podcasts Bright Wings and Catholic Culture. She has taught various classes ​in literature, theology, and book reviewing, and leads a Catholic Literary Arts poetry critique ​group for adult writers. Carla earned an MTS from the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and ​Family, and is pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing at the University of St. Thomas-Houston. ​She and her husband homeschool their six children on a small hobby farm in rural Virginia.

Laura Renauld is the author of the Woodland Friends seasonal picture book series and FRED’S ​BIG FEELINGS: THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF MISTER ROGERS. She is a former elementary ​school teacher who loves meeting readers at schools and festivals. She lives in Northern Virginia ​with her family and furry friends.

Christyna Hunter has surpassed all perilous predictions, despite being born with a disability. She ​is a freelance writer, has published two romance novels and has worked at a non-profit ​organization. She was a librarian for 20 years but now spends her time reading romance novels, ​obeying all demands from her furbaby, and praying often to her writing muse.
